BMW Other description
1977 Bmw R100RS, The R100RS aka "The One That Started It All" - One of the most sought after models in the history of BMW is certainly the 1977 R100RS. The unit we are offering has had but two owners. The bike was first sold on 8/07/77 here in California. The second owner bought it in November of 1979 until he recently sold it to us. The bike had been meticulously maintained over the years and serves as a testimony to its prior owner's care and diligence. Staying on top of the various tasks is in evidence every where you look. Upon our purchase of this bike, we had our mechanic go through it from front to back in a very thorough fashion. To ready the bike for its next owner, we gave it a full annual inspection, a brake flush, replaced all the fluids, re-sealed the cylinders, installed new fuel lines, and hand grips so it is fully ready to go. A new set of tires will be included in this sale, (of the brand and style the buyer chooses). We took lots of photos of this bike but seeing it in person is always preferred if possible. We have the owner's booklet, extra keys and lots of records about this amazing R100RS.

WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
