EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT First Impressions Video

The R1200RT has gone liquid cooled, inheriting the new boxer engine with BMW’s “precision cooling” technology from the new R1200GS. But that’s not all that’s changed on the RT as Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke points out in the video below from the 2013 EICMA show floor. 2009 BMW S1000RR Officially Introduced [Pics and Video]

BMW has officially introduced their literbike contender:  The 2009 BMW S1000RR. The pertinent numbers are a claimed 193 horsepower (at the crankshaft) and a 403.5-lb claimed dry weight. In a ready-to-ride form including fuel, BMW says to expect 450 lbs of weight.

The annual Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este usually features some of the world’s most beautiful classic cars, but this year’s show had a special exhibit celebrating the 90th anniversary of BMW Motorrad. More than 6,000 people visited the BMW Group-organized Concorso d’Eleganza on the shore of Italy’s Lake Como. The BMW Motorrad exhibit featured some of the company’s most notable motorcycles spanning 90 years of history including the original BMW R32 that started it all in 1923.
