BMW K-Series tech info
BMW K-Series description
2008 K1200S for sale. Only 5,848 miles! Great clean bike! Looks like new! Always garage kept. Comes with bags and two brothers exhaust. This bike does not have esa or heated grips. Only problem I have had is that the fuel gauge can give off a faulty reading. I always go by mileage so it hasn't been a problem for me. I am selling because I just don't ride enough. Email me any questions. Lots of info below. Info Flat Screen: The large new Info-Flat-Screen in the cockpit allows the rider to have excellent vision of major control features like fuel level, gear selection, odometer, oil temperature, and the optional chassis/suspension setting. Panniers: Optional sport panniers that offer variable case volume can be fitted on the K 1200 S for touring. Electronic Immobilizer: An Electronic Immobilizer provides an excellent anti-theft device. A small chip in the key communicates with the engine control unit, and only when the two compare data can the bike be started. This technology is currently the safest method for immobilizing a vehicle. Duolever Suspension: With a BMW Motorrad Duolever suspension, the K 1200 S offers constant anti-brake dive over the entire suspension travel. The result is a significantly more comfortable ride and an extraordinary feel for the road. Colors: Arresting colors like granite gray metallic, indigo blue metalic, insigo blue metallic/alpine white, and sun yellow/white aluminum metallic/dark graphite metallic. Single Wire System: The BMW Motorrad Single-Wire System creates a more reliable electrical system and it's entirely fuseless and allows accessories to be easily fitted. This technology allows all major control units to be linked via a single control line, both simplifying design and reducing weight. Drivetrain: Transversely mounted, inline 4-cylinder engine with a tremendous 167 horsepower and 130 Nm of torque. Inclined at a 55-degree forward position, this engine enjoys a center of gravity 2.5 inches lower than most competitors' sport bikes for even more superb handling. Body Styling: Ergonomically, the K 1200 S offers a relaxed seat position for maximum comfort. The forward area of the seat allows the rider to place his or her feet on the ground at a comfortable knee angle not usually found on traditional sport bikes. Combined with the fairing, the windshield gives superior wind and weather protection to minimize turbuence. Paralever Rear Suspension: The new BMW Motorrad EVO Paralever rear suspension is lighter and narrower, offering increased responsiveness, rear-wheel damping and ground clearance under any load. WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point
Tue, 09 Oct 2012You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.
