BMW K-Series description

For sale is my 1983 BMW K100 motorcycle.  Yes, first year for the K100 and not many of these around any more.  Runs very well, I've put approx. 12,000km in the last two years.  I bought it with 40,000km approx. 2 years ago.  I did the Iron Butt on this bike just this year, 1,771km in one day.  Bike had no issues.  This bike is ready to roll with new BMW fork oil changed this year, all brake fluid changed this year, trans fluid changed this year, rear diff fluid changed this year, splines lubed this year, swing arm bearings regreased this year, gas filter changed this year, engine oil and filter just changed with zero miles since, all work done this year approx. 6,000km, new front tire with wheel bearings and balance last year, new brake pads fr and rr last year, new brake master cylinder and reservoir/hose last year, new battery last year, approx. 10,000km ago. What this bikes still needs is a throttle body synchronization, small paint chips and scratches touched up, and N indicator light stays on in all gears.  The N indicator switch that fits in the rear of the trans. was also replaced this year.  All parts are New OEM BMW parts, bought from BMW either here in Vancouver B.C. or Berlin Germany.  I don't know what the problem is with the N indicator light, it just stays on.  It has not bothered me for 12,000km but it might bother someone else.  Please take this into consideration when bidding.  In Canada this motorcycle is eligible for a collectors plate, or a vintage plate as it is now 30 years old.  I do not have one on this bike as I have a veterans plate which stays with me.   The reason I'm selling this bike is to finance my  '70 R75/5 project.  This bike comes as you see it, it has hard bags with one key, and two OEM folding keys that fit the ignition, steering, gas, and seat lock.  It also has factory heated grips which work quite well and allowed me to enjoy a longer riding season.  The speedo is in Kilometers, 10,000 miles = 16,000 kilometers in case anyone was wondering.  This bike has 53,000 kilometers which equals approx. 35,000 miles. With regular maintenance this bike should give anyone years of riding pleasure.  Email me for more photos or questions I can answer.  Thanks for looking, Alyson
