BMW F-Series description

Clear title. I purchased this bike new in 2007 and it has 6499 original miles. The bike has never been dumped or involved in any accidents or modified in any way. The bike is pristine. The only accessories are the Cee Bailey windshield I put on it when new to replace the lame stock one that came with the bike and a bracket for a Givi Monokey 46 topcase. I am keeping the topcase because I use it on one of my other bikes. The bracket goes with the bike. The tires have a lot of tread left in them. The only blemishes on the bike are two small scratches on the right side of the front fender. I do not know where they came from. This bike gets 60+ MPG. I installed a new MotoBatt AGM battery in 5/2012. I have the original windshield for the bike as well. The bike also has ABS and heated grips.

TERMS: $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hrs. after the end of auction via Pay Pal. Balance due must be in cash, check or bank transfer within 7 days of the close of the auction. If you bring a bank draft for full payment the bike with not be released until verification of funds. Buyer must pick up or arrange for pickup after full payment is received. Under no circumstances will the bike be released without full payment.

Von Kuenheim: BMW Must Start Winning in WSBK Before Entering MotoGP

Fri, 16 Mar 2012

MotoGP racing may be the next logical step for BMW, says Hendrik von Kuenheim, general director of BMW Motorrad. Von Kuenheim was speaking at a press launch for the BMW C600 Sport and C650GT scooters but took a moment to discuss racing with MotoGP.com. Such speculation about BMW entering Grand Prix racing may sometimes be dismissed as idle musings, but the fact the interview was with MotoGP’s official website holds some significance.

2011-2013 BMW F800GS and F700GS Recalled in Canada

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2011-2013 BMW F800GS and the 2013 F700GS because of a problem with the kickstand ignition cut-off switch. The switch is designed to turn off the engine when the stand is down and the motorcycle is shifted into gear; this prevents the motorcycle from being ridden with the kickstand deployed. On certain BMW F800GS and F700GS models however, the cut-off switch can loosen and become damaged.

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

Transport Canada announced a recall for the BMW F800S and F800ST from model years 2006-2009 because of a problem with the rear wheel. At the moment, the recall has only been confirmed for Canada; we will provide an update if a recall for the U.S. is announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
