Unlike later models, 2005 BMW DAKAR F650GS is assembled in Germany with the legendary Rotax engine. With only 6500 miles, it has no rust, never been dropped, and always been garaged indoors. The bike has been ridden gently and maintained religiously. It has thousands of dollars of aftermarket parts both on and off the bike, and comes geared up to go out for a perfect weekend outing or long adventure. Corbin Rider Appreciation Day July 5 & 6 In Conjunction With Rebirth Of Hollister Rally
Mon, 03 Jun 2013Corbin has announced that all vendor spaces on the lot are filled for their 4th Annual Rider Appreciation Day, held this year on July 5 and 6. Last year, Corbin had thousands of riders show up to help celebrate our country’s birthday and take part in the festivities and expects a much bigger crowd this year, since the city has approved the Hollister Rally and the event covers two days. Mike Corbin reported that the city is feverishly working on the final details in order to make this year’s Hollister Rally one to remember.
BMW R12 Trademark May Be for an R NineT Successor
Tue, 22 Nov 2022BMW Motorrad to mark 100th anniversary in 2023 Earlier this year, reports emerged that BMW had filed trademark applications for “R12”, with many predicting the name would be used on a new cruiser. The logic made sense, as the naming structure was similar to the R18, and BMW lacked a cruiser model in the 1200-ish range. We were a little less bullish on that theory at the time, and we suspected there was more to the story.
Moto 3, Oral Engineering and the 2012 BMW S1000RR
Thu, 01 Mar 2012KTM and Honda may have been the main players at recent Jerez Moto 3 test but GP newcomers, Oral Engineering, weren’t too far behind with our very own Danny Webb posting the 15th best time. Italian based Oral are supplying engines to Mahindra Racing (Danny & Marcel Schrotter) and Ambroggio Next Racing (Simone Grotzki & Giulian Pedone). Mahindra have their motor housed in an all new, Italian tubular steel chassis, while Ambroggio have gone down the more economic route of using their 2011 Aprilia RSW 125 chassis.
