After an incredible run, I'm selling my beloved 'thumper' (as well as my 2012 BMW R1200 GS Rallye Edition), to help fund the purchase of an SUV for my family. Unlike later models, 2005 BMW DAKAR F650GS is assembled in Germany with the legendary Rotax engine. With only 6500 miles, it has no rust, never been dropped, and always been garaged indoors. The bike has been ridden gently and maintained religiously. It has thousands of dollars of aftermarket parts both on and off the bike, and comes geared up to go out for a perfect weekend outing or long adventure. 2015 BMW K1600GT and K1600GTL Get Traction Control as Standard Equipment
Fri, 04 Jul 2014BMW is updating its big six-cylinder touring bikes with traction control as standard equipment and a number of new optional add-ons including keyless remote ignition. Previously available as part of BMW’s factory-installed Safety Package option, the Dynamic Traction Control system will now be standard on all 2015 K1600GT and K1600GTL models. The system continuously monitors rear wheel traction during acceleration, stepping in when it senses excessive wheel spin.
