Visordown art curation
Wed, 05 Jan 2011I'm finding it difficult to appreciate art at the moment, especially with all the modern art nonsense. I guess I just don't understand it, but these pieces look worthy of Tate Bike (that is if it existed).
They're from young female artist, Guenevere Schwien, who grew to love motorcycles at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her two passions would ultimately meet and you can see the fruits of her talent in the pictures.
The impressively large, 9ft tall and 6ft wide, painting of the Ducati 1098 in an appropriate night scene took Guenevere three months to complete, "[The 1098 was] the most enjoyable painting I think I have ever
done. It is completely done with brushes by hand."
The piece was a commission and now lives in a collector's home, prints are available of some of her work and can be found here: www.GuenevereS.com
