Special Edition 2022 Triumph Bonneville Gold Line Models Announced

Eight special edition modern classics for one year only

Following the introduction of the limited edition Street Twin Gold Line model, Triumph announced it is giving the rest of its modern classics the same treatment. Unlike the Street Twin, of which only 1,000 units were produced and promptly sold, the new Gold Line Edition models will be produced only for the 2022 model year and will not be limited to a specific number.

The eight models receiving a special edition Gold Line Edition are:

• Bonneville T100
• Bonneville T120
• Bonneville T120 Black
• Bonneville Bobber
• Bonneville Speedmaster
• Bonneville Street Scrambler
• the Scrambler 1200 XC
• the Scrambler 1200 XE

Each Gold Line model will come in a special color scheme edged with hand-painted gold pin-triping. The gold paint is specially formulated from a mix of powdered color and a cellulose lacquer. This gives it the right level of consistency for striping, as conventional paint is too thin for this type of brush work. The golden striping is applied, usually in one continuous stroke, by one of six skilled artisans. The paint is then sealed with a final coat of lacquer and signed with the artist’s initials.

Mechanically, the Gold Line Edition models are the same as the regular model, including the updates introduced earlier this year for the 2021 year. Depending on the model, the premium paint schemes add an additional $750 to $900 to the MSRP. The Gold Line models arrive in North American dealerships in December.

2022 Triumph Bonneville T100 Gold Line Edition – $11,400

The Bonneville T100 Gold Line Edition comes with a Silver Ice fuel tank, fenders and side panels, contrasted with Competition Green edged with gold lining. Triumph also offers an accessory fly screen in Silver Ice.

2022 Triumph Bonneville T120 Gold Line Edition – $13,100

The T120 Gold Line Edition shares the same Silver Ice/Competition Green color scheme as the smaller Bonneville, and can also be fitted with a Silver Ice fly screen accessory.

2022 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black Gold Line Edition – $13,100

The Bonneville T120 Black Gold Line Edition switches things up with Matt Silver Ice as the highlight color over Matt Sapphire Black, to better complement the darker engine and exhaust.

2022 Triumph Bonneville Bobber Gold Line Edition – $14,200

The Bonneville Bobber Gold Line Edition comes with a Carnival Red tank color with brushed foil knee pad graphics. The fenders are also Carnival Red, with Sapphire Black side panels adding some contrast that further highlights the floating seat. Triumph will offer a short front fender in Carnival Red as an accessory.

2022 Triumph Street Scrambler Gold Line Edition – $11,950

The Street Scrambler Gold Line Edition comes in a Matt Pacific Blue color with a Graphite tank stripe and brushed foil knee pad graphics accompanied by gold lining. Completing the look are mudguards and a side panel in Matt Jet Black. A Matt Pacific Blue flyscreen is available as an accessory.

2022 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster Gold Line Edition – $14,200

Silver Ice returns on the Speedmaster Gold Line Edition. It is paired here with a Sapphire Black twin stripe on the tank, with matching side panels, headlamp and fenders.

2022 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC Gold Line Edition – $15,100

The Scrambler XC Gold Line Edition comes with a fuel tank painted Carnival Red and Storm grey, separated by an Aluminum Silver stripe. The gold line runs alongside the silver stripe and around the brushed foil knee pad graphics. The side panel and headlamp bowl are painted Jet Black.

2022 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE Gold Line Edition – $16,500

The Scrambler XE Gold Line Edition comes in a similar motif as the XC, but with a Baja Orange and Silver Ice tank separated by a stripe of Pure White. Gold lining along the white stripe and around the brushed foil knee pad graphics. Like the XC, the side panel and headlight are Jet Black.
