Rok Bagoros' stunt KTM 690 Duke
Thu, 26 Apr 2012KTM's official stunt rider Rok Bagoros has stepped up from his 125 Duke to this factory prepared 690 Duke. However, as seen in this video, his first test on the bike hasn't been plain sailing.
Chatting with me about his new bike this morning, Rok said: "The 690 Duke goes like a rocket in comparison to a Japanese bike, it has a lot of torque and really good power in the low revs."
When asked about his first ride on the 690 Duke, after being at home with the 125cc machine in his stunt shows over the past year, he added: "I have to really respect this bike, because it throws me around like a mad bull. But slowly, step by step, I'm getting it under control."
Rok already has some plans for his trick arsenal, performing more flips off the bike and highchair (sitting on the bars) tricks. One thing that has stood out for him has been the extra power he has to play with, five times more than the 125, which allows him to pull off bigger and faster drifts - and skids by the looks of the custom made dual Magura rear brake.
The specs for Rok's 690 Duke are:
70bhp
160kg with full gas tank
Special rear dual Magura brakes
Akrapovic slip on exhaust
Stunt crash cage and wheelie bar made by KTM
Sava soft radial tyres
52 tooth rear sprocket
Grip tapes all over the bike
Rok's about to set off on a tour with both the 125 and 690 Dukes, you can see his schedule here.
