Racing legends around the legendary Assen circuit

Following the 80th Assen TT from the weekend here is a video looking back at the 25th running of the event at the Cathedral in 1974. The track may have changed a lot since then, but there are still elements of Assen which are still the same.

Noteworthy snippets include; the glorious sound of the two-strokes interspersed with the four-stroke MV. This was Kenny Roberts debut race in Grand Prix racing in the 250 class, he qualified on pole and would go on to get on the podium in the race with third. Also witness the similar popularity of Ago, reminiscent of Rossi today, as he is mugged at the end of the race.
