Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 available for preorder in North America beginning July 23

Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-sized motorcycle segment (250cc - 750cc), announced today that the highly anticipated Himalayan 450 will be available for preorder in North America from July 23 through August 16.

Customers in the United States and Canada who are interested in being among the first to own the all-new Royal Enfield Himalayan can visit royalenfield.com, where they can fill out a form to be connected with their local Royal Enfield dealer to place a deposit and confirm their preorder.

“Since its introduction in the Himalayas last fall, we’ve seen outstanding anticipation around the new Himalayan 450 here in North America,” said Ross Clifford, Head of Business for the Americas at Royal Enfield. “We wanted to give Royal Enfield enthusiasts the chance to be among the first to own one in the United States and Canada.”

The all-new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is based on Royal Enfield’s latest, lightest, and most technologically advanced vehicle integrated powertrain; the new Himalayan will feature the new Sherpa 450 liquid-cooled engine. The Himalayan 450 will have a host of new features that enhance and improve the adventure touring experience, including the all-new Sherpa 450 water-cooled engine, upgraded brakes and suspension, a Showa inverted front fork, Rear ABS, performance and eco ride modes, and a brand new TripperDash display.

The Himalayan 450 will be available for presale purchase in Kaza Brown, Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Poppy Blue, and Hanle Black. The Kaza Brown colorway will retail at USD $5,799 / CAD $7,699. The Slate Himalayan Salt and Slate Poppy Blue colorways will retail at USD $5,899 / CAD $7,849. And the Hanle Black colorway will retail at USD $5,999 / CAD $7,999.

Royal Enfield has long been associated with the Himalayan mountains, the brand’s spiritual home and creative inspiration. Purpose-built on a 60-year-old tradition of exploring the Himalayas by motorcycle, the 2024 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is a confidence-inspiring, ultra-capable, go-anywhere motorcycle. This new Himalayan is an evolutionary leap ahead of its mold-breaking original version that delivers an adaptable ride engineered for adventure.

Royal Enfield Chief Executive Officer B. Govindarajan states, “After introducing the first Royal Enfield Himalayan in 2016, we integrated global feedback to create a new, purpose-built adventure tourer that would feel at home in the Himalayas or anywhere unpredictable weather and rugged terrain will challenge even the most skilled riders.”

The Himalayan 450 will be officially launched in the United States and Canada on August 23 and will be available exclusively at your local Royal Enfield dealer.
