Moto Guzzi V7 Special, V7 Stone and V7 Racer Coming to US for 2013

Piaggio announced it will bring its newly-updated V7 models to North America with sales to begin in mid-October.

We’ve written about the Moto Guzzi V7 Stone, V7 Special and V7 Racer when they were first announced by Piaggio in March, and we already have a review of the V7 line up from our European correspondent Tor Sagen. As we predicted at the time the three 750cc models will be sold in North America as 2013 models.

All three V7 models are powered by a 750cc V-Twin mounted longitudinally in Moto Guzzi’s signature style. The engine has been completely revamped from the previous V7 engine, over 200 individual parts getting redesigned.

The V7 Stone is the entry-level member of the range. Sporting six split-spoke wheels and various chrome accents, the Moto Guzzi V7 Stone will be available in either Matte Black or Pure White with a price of $8390 beginning in mid-October.

The V7 Racer is the updated version of the limited edition model brought over in 2011. Back then, U.S. consumers got a model with a black fuel tank instead of the chrome version available overseas. For 2013, Americans will finally be able to get the chrome tank in addition to other styling features such as the leather strap, suede seat and ’70s-inspired number plate. The 2013 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer will be available for $9990 at U.S. dealerships starting in early October.

The third member of the V7 family won’t be available until the first quarter of 2013 however. The two-tone model is designed to resemble the 1969 V7 Special. Sporting aluminum wire spoked wheels and a number of touring-oriented accessories, the 2013 Moto Guzzi V7 Special will be available in White/Red Metallic or Yellow/Black Metallic for $8990.
