Massive Motorcycle Swap Meet Coming to AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days July 19-21

Few things rev up true motorcyclists like an amazing vintage bike or that elusive factory part that they pick up for a great price.

On July 19-21, AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days will host one of the largest vintage motorcycle swap meets in the world at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, as hundreds of vendors and thousands of buyers converge at the largest celebration of motorcycle heritage in the US.

“For many attendees, the swap meet is the top draw at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days,” said AMA Vice President of Operations Jeff Massey. “It’s downright huge, taking up about 20 acres. … Whether you’re after a new-old-stock crank seal, a factory tune-up kit, vintage gear, fork boots, wheels, old manuals, parts bikes, fenders, sidecars, even complete bikes — you’ll find it here.”

Massey added that vender applications indicate this will be one of the biggest AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days swap meets in recent history.

“We’ve made a number of improvements the last few years to increase the presentation of the swap meet,” Massey said. “Enhancements have focused on traffic flow, increasing the space, adding display options and more. We’re also doing more to help our shoppers find the parts they need with additional signage and direction at the swap meet’s head tent, which sits at the main north entrance to the swap meet.”

Vendors can purchase swap meet space on location on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition to access to a huge crowd of vintage enthusiasts, vendors will be invited to the vendor-only picnic, sponsored by Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. With proceeds supporting the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, this year featuring the riders and champions of Husqvarna, is the country’s premier celebration of vintage motorcycles and motorcycling heritage. The grand marshal this year is AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Dick Burleson.

AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days include the AMA Classic Field Meet Challenge; amateur national championship roadracing, motocross, hare scrambles, trials and dirt-track in vintage classes; a motorcycle skills test; a Wall of Death stunt show; and demo rides of current street and off-road motorcycles. The weekend also features seminars conducted by notable motorcycling experts and autograph sessions with AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famers.
