Is this Honda's inspiration for mass-centralisation
Wed, 21 Oct 2009SORRY TO keep carpin’ on about porcelain bathroom products but this beauty, I think, is of great motorcycling significance. Feast on its elegant lines and classical, elegant beauty.
Combining an integral hand basin (with a nifty electrically operated water pump in the cistern lid) this john not only provides ingenious space saving design techniques but also serves as a timely reminder to wash your hands once you’ve pointed Percy at the porcelain.
When you flush, the tap on the top automatically switches on, thus reminding the user of essential but often forgotten essential hygiene procedures. They say the simplest ideas are the best, don’t they?
But in a land of incredible space constraints I think this toilet, in a first floor restaurant frequented by key Honda personnel, is actually the catalyst for the firm’s current obsession with mass centralisation.
Well, Sigmund Freud would have made the same link, wouldn’t he?
