Heated clothing rocks

We’ve all been there, trying to wrap up warm before heading out on the bike in the freezing cold. Last winter I was wearing a thermal under suit, Jeans, three t-shirts and then a winter jacket and trousers over the top. This winter looks to be just as cold as last years but for me things have changed, I’ve discovered heated clothing!

Gerbings manufacture a range of heated under garments that all interconnect, and then plug into one temperature control box so you can adjust your heat on the go. All you need to do is plug the box into the wire attached to your bikes battery terminal and off you go.

Riding to the Bike show this year I wore the trousers, jacket and gloves and it felt like I was wrapped in a heated blanket. The heat distributing is spot on concentrating more heat in the areas that get the coldest like the tips of your fingers, tops of your legs, back and arms. Its not rocket science, and after a 3 hour ride to Birmingham I was nice and toasty!
