Chris Peris Joins Yamaha Champions Riding School

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

The Yamaha Champions Riding School is going through some changes as it transitions to a new home at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Along with the new scenery comes a new instructor in Chris Peris. The Canadian AMA National winner has signed on and is preparing for the school’s opening class on April 21, 2014.

“We met Chris at the Spencer school years ago and he’s always been on our radar for instructing,” YCRS’s Nick Ienatsch said. “He has guest-instructed for us many times and does a terrific job.”

Peris joins instructors Ienatsch, Ken Hill, Dale Keiffer, Shane Turpin, Mark Schellinger, Garrett Willis, George Grass and Phil Horwitz in an effort to maximize every student’s YCRS experience. “I see how much difference good coaching can make in a rider’s life,” Peris says, drawing on his own teaching experience, “and the way YCRS approaches this sport is life-changing for the students. I want to be a part of that.”

Chris Peris is a 27 year-old Canadian-born road racer who currently resides in Tucson Arizona.  Chris has competed at almost every level of motorcycle road racing including CMRA, 125GP, World Supersport, AMA Superbike, and has won AMA Daytona Sportbike races.
