Can-Am Announces 2015 Spyder F3 and Biketoberfest Contest
Wed, 03 Sep 2014Can-Am/BRP has just taken the (photographic) wraps off the 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3! Although little official information is available, we can take some educated guesses based on what we can see in this photo plus the spy shots we published a couple weeks ago. The new, more aggressive front end prominently features a radiator grill, which we expect will provide the increased cooling required by a beefed up version of the liquid-cooled Rotax 1330 ACE in-line 3 cylinder mill currently powering the Spyder RT tourer. If the new engine cranks out the same 115 hp and 96 ft.-lb. of peak torque that the RT did, riders will receive a real performance benefit from the reduced weight of the roadster F3 versus the touring-oriented RT. Combined with the bump in power delivery that we expect, the F3 should complement the more aggressive profile.
While BRP may not be releasing much information about the Spyder F3, the company is commencing a contest to give away one of the first rides of the F3 at Biketoberfest. The winner will receive travel, lodging, spending money and the benefits that only being a BRP VIP can offer. Take a look at the contest’s Facebook page for more information. Act soon. The winner will be announced on October 2nd.
