Bridgestone BT023s tested
Mon, 16 Aug 2010Three months ago I fitted a pair of Bridgestone’s latest sport touring tyres to the Speed Triple. I needed some rubber that would cover more than 2000 miles without squaring off. They also needed to be sticky, responsive and most of all able to handle the huge torque the 1050cc triple engine puts out.
Three months and 6850 miles later the rear tyre still has 3mm of tread down the middle.
Overall the grip has been more than enough to satisfy an enthusiastic Sunday rider and the rear could quite possibly cover 8000 miles or more.
So, if you’ve got a big engine and want some tyres that will last then I can’t recommend the BT023s enough.
Expect to pay around £200 for a pair.
