After much anticipation, Arrow exhausts are now available for the 2014 KTM 690 Enduro R. The Arrow Race-Tech silencer is offered in titanium or aluminum, with the option of a carbon fiber or steel end cap. Arrow exhaust brand is now distributed to the US and Canada through SpeedMob, Inc. – a premium brand distribution and management company headed by Tim Calhoun and his staff of industry veterans.
A notable feature of the newest edition to Arrow’s lineup is that it conveniently includes an adapter kit that allows this exhaust to be fitted to not just the 2014 model but earlier year models as well. For this exhaust application, the adapter will allow you to fit this exhaust onto the 2009-2014 KTM 690 Enduro R models, as well as 2008-2014 KTM 690 Enduro and 690 SMC models.
Race-Tech
The Race-Tech silencer was the first Arrow silencer made with a diamond shape, rather than the standard round/elliptical shape. The innovative diamond shape design allows Arrow to reduce the silencer’s dimensions, while keeping the same overall internal cross-section. This design makes it possible to significantly reduce the weight without compromising the inner volume that keeps noise at an acceptable level without choking down the performance gains. Internals of the silencers are of TIG welded stainless steel construction and the “wet” sections (those involved in the exhaust gas flow) are optimized through strict dimensional control of these areas. The final engineering feature of the Race-Tech exhaust is the design of the rear end-caps and the exhaust tip; these components are specifically designed to work in conjunction to allow the exhaust to run turbulence free and to reduce negative effects of counter-pressure (back-pressure). For the 2014 KTM 690 Enduro R, the Race-Tech silencer is available in either titanium or aluminum canister, with the option of carbon fiber or steel end caps. The Race-Tech exhausts also include a removable baffle (dB-killer) for optimum sound control.
