Americade Begins Tomorrow, Saturday June 1st

The “World’s Largest Touring Rally,” Americade, begins tomorrow, June 1. For the first time ever, the event will be a week-long event filled with guided rides, parties, events, giveaways, and so much more.

Centered in and around Lake George Village in upstate New York, Americade takes full advantage of being on the doorstep of the Adirondacks, providing gorgeous mountain vistas and plenty of activities on and off the bike. Widely regarded as one of the more family-friendly motorcycle rallies, Americade draws riders and passengers from all over New England, the Mid-Atlantic and Canada.

To better contend with rain, this year’s Americade runs three days longer, beginning on Saturday rather than its traditional Tuesday starting date. The outdoor TourExpo tradeshow will run eight days, from Saturday, June 1st through Saturday, June 8th. The indoor portion of TourExpo (at the Lake George Forum) will open on the traditional day of Tuesday (June 4).

In addition to the date change, this year’s Americade features three different stunt shows: The Smage Brothers, the Globe of Death and an FMX ramp-to-ramp jumper at Wild West Ranch following the annual Dunlop Parade. A dozen OEMs, from BMW to Yamaha, will be providing demo rides. In addition to the 10 mini-tours taking place throughout the Adirondacks

and nearby Green Mountains of Vermont, other attractions include a rodeo, boat cruises, whitewater rafting, horse riding, ziplining and hot air balloon rides.
