AMA Go Ride Together Week Starts Today
Tue, 08 Apr 2014As we begin Week 2 of the AMA Go Ride! Month, the American Motorcyclist Association wants us to take a ride (or more than one) with friends, family, and even co-workers! Why? Because the enjoyment of riding alone is increased exponentially by riding with other enthusiasts.
To foster more group riding, the AMA has listings of motorcycle events and gatherings nationwide. Folks looking for street-oriented rallies should visit the AMA’s Premier Touring Series page for information about events that can be searched on a state-by-state basis.
If you’re more into adventure touring or dual sport riding, the AMA has you covered there, too. The AMA Yamaha Super Ténéré Adventure Riding Series offers organized back-country rides with what it calls “High Adventure, No Hassles” approach to getting your rig off the asphalt and onto some gravel and dirt. Serious off-road enthusiasts should take a look at the AMA Husqvarna National Dual Sport Trail Riding Series where each entry to these events located all around the country comes with a chance to win a new Husqvarna.
Every week during Go Ride! Month, AMA sponsors will be offering prizes for participants. This week’s sponsors are FLY apparel and Avis Rent a Car.
Finally, a prize package will be given to one lucky rider who likes or comments on a post on the AMA’s Facebook page. The prizes include: a FLY Racing Roller Grande gear bag, a Cortech Super 2.0 8-liter tank bag, a $100 gift certificate from BikeBandit.com, a Rental car voucher from Avis and one night’s lodging from Red Roof Inns.
