2014 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 Available Now with ABS
Tue, 11 Jun 2013Aprilia USA announced the 2014 edition of the Dorsoduro 750 is now available at dealerships nationwide, now with the addition of anti-lock brake technology as standard equipment.
The 2014 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 uses a dual-channel ABS from Continental. According to Aprilia, the system monitors the speed of both wheels and separately controls the braking for both the front and the rear. The Dorsosduro 750 comes equipped with four-piston radial-mount calipers gripping the dual wave-cut 320mm front brake discs and single-piston caliper with a 240mm rear brake disc.
Powering the Dorsoduro 750 is a 749.9cc 90-degree V-Twin engine which Aprilia claims produces 90.2 hp at 8750 rpm and 60.8 ft-lb. at 4500 rpm. The electric ride-by-wire throttle system allows for three selectable ride modes: Sport for aggressive performance, Touring for a more relaxed ride and Rain for improved safety on wet surfaces.
Suspension is provided by a fully-adjustable 43mm upside-down fork with anodized yokes and a laterally-offset cantilevered single rear shock with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping. Both front and rear suspension offer 160mm of travel.
Other features include a backlit analog tachomoter with a brightness-adjustable digital display and hand guards. The tank holds 3.2 gallons of fuel, which Aprilia claims is enough for a range of more than 124 miles.
The 2014 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 ABS is available at dealerships now, at a price of $9,999. It is offered in two colors, Fluo Red and Matte White.
