2013 Jordan Suzuki Livery Inspired by Air Jordan XX8 Sneakers

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Michael Jordan Motorsports revealed its racing livery for its 2013 AMA Superbike Championship Suzuki GSX-R1000 racebikes. The 2013 racebikes will sport a wavy blue camo pattern inspired by the new Nike Air Jordan XX8 sneaker. The team unveiled the new livery on the Skydeck on the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower) in Chicago, where the team was founded and, more notably, where team owner Michael Jordan won six NBA championships with the Bulls.

The two-time AMA Daytona Sportbike Champion Danny Eslick joins the team after racing last season with the Erik Buell Racing team. Eslick will ride the #23 Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000. He’ll be teamed with the Roger Hayden who returns for 2013 riding the #54 National Guard Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000.

MJM will also enter James Ripsoli in the AMA Daytona Sportbike class riding the #43 National Guard Celtic Racing Suzuki GSX-R600. Ripsoli will be the first MJM rider to compete in the Daytona 200 in the team’s 10-year history. The team will also field Corey Alexander in the AMA Pro Supersport class on the #5 National Guard Celtic Suzuki GSX-R600. Both Ripsoli and Alexander will also wear the sneaker-inspired livery.

“The whole MJM team is looking forward to Daytona,” said Kreig Robinson, MJM Vice President of Corporate Relations. “We expect solid results from Danny and Roger in AMA Pro National Guard Superbike, and we’re excited about James racing the Daytona 200 for the first time. Additionally, we look forward to supporting Corey in AMA SuperSport. Overall, 2013 is a landmark season for MJM as we reflect on the significance of a successful decade in road racing and the unlimited potential of the future.”
