2013 BMW HP4 Pricing Released

A few weeks ago we tested BMW’s scintillating new HP4 version of the S1000RR, and we were blown away by the incredible competency of this class-leading superbike for the street, including its new semi-active Dynamic Damping Control suspension.

What we didn’t know then was how princely a sum BMW would demand in its MSRP, but now we know.

Initially, BMW announced U.S. pricing would begin for $19,990 for the base model. BMW has now announced the base model would not be offered in the U.S., leaving American customers with a choice between the Standard Package and the Premium Package.

The basic model includes DDC, titanium Akropovic exhaust, radial monobloc brakes, forged wheels and the quickshifter gear-shift assistant. The Standard Package includes everything in the basic model but adds heated grips and the Pillion Rider Package of seat and footpegs at a  price of $20,525 .

A step up is the Premium model priced at  $24,995 which includes the items in the Standard Package plus the high-performance bits of the “Competition Package” which is available as a separate kit in other markets. The Competition Package adds carbon fiber trim and bellypan, folding clutch and brake levers, adjustable footpegs and blue wheels.

A destination charge of $495 gets added to each bike sold in the U.S.

The HP4 is available only in its multi-color finish of Racing Blue Metallic/Light White/Sapphire Black Metallic. It is scheduled to arrive at dealers by the end of 2012. BMW says only a limited amount of HP4s will be built, but it hasn’t set an exact number.
