2013 AIMExpo: Rekluse Clutches – Video
Thu, 24 Oct 2013Perhaps the biggest name is aftermarket clutches, Rekluse Motorsports featured two new Harley-Davidson clutch systems at the American International Motorcycle Expo.
The Rekluse Torq Drive auto clutch system is designed to increase torque capacity by 17% to the general clutch system. This is a very simple system and no modifications are needed to install the auto clutch. As Rekluse explains it, with the auto clutch system installed you’ll be able to come to a stop and take off again without having to touch the clutch lever.
Rekluse says its EXP high torque clutch system increases torque capacity by up to 56%, all while offering up to a 34% lighter lever pull. According to Rekluse, this system provides smoother engagement, eliminates basket notching and lowers operating temperatures.
For dirt riders, Rekluse’s updated Core Manual clutch system features an added a torque drive clutch back, which allows for a high torque capacity system without increasing lever pull. According to Rekluse, the system offers a 20% torque increase. This system allows more friction plates into the clutch pack, which is designed to reduce the amount of heat and eliminate clutch fade.
