Perfect Collector or Enthusiast Motorcycle 2000 SB8R Bimota 1470 Actual Miles 1000 CC Suzuki Powered Fuel Injected 135 HP Twin overhead cam 11.3:1 Compression Ratio Multidisc Clutch in a oil bath 6 Speed gearbox This collector motorcycle is perfect in every regard with only 1470 actual miles. Meticulously maintained by rocket motorcycles in San Diego since it was originally purchased. It is now garaged and covered at all times. The frame is aluminum alloy lateral beams with carbon fiber plates. The front suspension is Tele hydraulic Paioli upside down fork with 46MM tubes. The rear suspension has multi adjustable Ohlins shock absorbers. The front brake is a Brimbo 320 MM double disk. Rear brake is a Brembo 230MM Single disc. This motorcycle was a very generous gift from my dad's brother and has been meticulously maintained and looked after by my father. Here are the facts, my dad is an old guy and this is too much motorcycle for him or anyone else in the family so it's time for her to go to a new home. The motorcycle has never been wrecked, raced, or damaged in anyway. Cosmetic issues: None! The bike probably needs a good wax and detail but shows as new. Mechanical issues: A month ago when my dad pulled the motorcycle out of the garage for its monthly run/ start up when he turned the key to the on position before cranking the motor he noticed two drips of fuel under the motorcycle. The motorcycle as always fired up and ran perfect. Since then he has been running the motorcycle more often to prepare it for listing and reports back that it has not reproduce the leak. I have a 100% eBay rating and I plan to keep it. We have a video of the motorcycle and I am not proud of our pictures but we will be more than happy to get you more of them. Xaus tests Moto2 Bimota
Thu, 22 Dec 2011World Superbike regular, Ruben Xaus was impressing some track day regulars with his skills earlier this month at Almeria. The lanky Spaniard (who is now apparently a part owner of Bimota), was putting the Rimini manufacturer's Honda CBR600-powered Moto2 machine through its paces in the December sunshine. The short term plan if for it to be raced in domestic championships but I for one would love to see it on the MotoGP Moto2 grid.
Bimota Entering WSBK Championship with Team Alstare
Mon, 13 Jan 2014Bimota is returning to the World Superbike Championship after signing a five-year research and development deal with Team Alstare. The Italian company was one of the original manufacturers in the series’ inaugural 1988 season but Bimota hasn’t competed since the 2000 season. Team Alstare will enter two Bimota BB3 superbikes in the EVO class, playing a leading role in developing the sportbike.

Wed, 04 Aug 2010A RARE opportunity to snap up a zero-mile Bimota V-Due two-stroke race replica has come up for grabs on eBay. Launched in 1997, the V-Due was fitted with a 500cc, liquid-cooled, two-stroke, fuel-injected v-twin engine. It was the first time Bimota built an engine in-house, instead of sourcing engines from existing bike manufacturers.
