Benelli Other description
1966 Wards Riverside 450SS, 50cc with 4 speed transmission. Wards version of a Benelli Fireball. Engine has been completely rebuilt with all new bearings, gaskets and seals as well as a 63cc big bore kit. The expansion chamber has been welded to the factory headpipe and sounds great in addition to helping rev more quickly. K&N air filter. The tank is clean inside and the seat is a NOS that looks terrific. The bike has been painted, it's not a professional job but it's a lot better than the rust that was there before. Taillight has been replaced with a 6v Ford replica. All new spokes and tires. Front tire is a little bigger than stock, I couldn't locate the stock 2.25" so I used a 2.5" to match the rear. New headlight sealed beam and trim ring. The tip of the front fender is bent a bit and I wasn't brave enough to try and straighten it. The bike will run but I have not been able to get the jetting right to make it idle. The taillight is wired up but does not light up either the tail or stop lamp. The transmission is an upside-down shift pattern, 1st is at the top and you step down on the lever to go into gears 2-4. I've got other projects and have to let this one go.
Winning bidder must contact within 7 days of auction end and arrange any pickup or shipping. Cash on pickup preferred. Clean TN title. No warranty expressed or implied.
EDIT - the bike is not a 1965, it is actually a 1966 model.
