The Bike that WON Cycle World 2016 BEST OPEN-CLASS STREETBIKE

************************************
It was easy to excuse the blemishes in the Aprilia Tuono V4 R's mostly perfect Italian trimmings; a supermodel is still a supermodel, abnormal birthmark or not. You'll have trouble finding an imperfection in the new, nipped-and-tucked V4 1100 though, its engine feeling appreciably stronger, tweaked suspension composed, and seat like your key to all-day happiness. Add strong brakes and sharper fairing to a bike that already laid claim to the best exhaust note in motorcycling and you have an open-class machine that takes your breath away not only with its presence but on-road performance. Sticking with the $14,799 RR saves you a few dollars for pasta on the way home too. Don't worry--you'll wheelie it off later.

2010 Aprilia RSV4 Engine Recall

Tue, 02 Feb 2010

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration finally released information about the upcoming Aprilia RSV4 engine recall, and just as we suspected here at Motorcycle.com, the culprit was a faulty batch of connecting rods. Yes, the same conrods that curtailed the RSV4R’s European launch, attended by our correspondent Tor Sagen. That October media event at the world-class Mugello circuit was halted after five, count’em, FIVE engines blew.

Aprilia will present a new sportbike this autumn

Thu, 04 Apr 2019

The company confirmed to the French publication Moto-Station that such a significant event will take place in the autumn at the EICMA Milan show. However, the final look of the motorcycle remains a mystery. Judging by the not too legible photo of the prototype that was recently caught on camera during tests, there will still be a difference between the exhibition and the road copy.
