 Description:
After debuting in Europe in 2008 Aprilia once again set about creating their own category of motorcycle. With its innovative electrically controlled variator automatic transmission, and powerful 850cc engine, the Aprilia Mana was the first truly automatic motorcycle that could be used in the real world. With it's simple single throttle body fuel injection system, and single overhead camshaft cylinder heads, the Mana will deliver 50mpg in most riding situations. Thanks to it's relatively long (for Aprilia) 57.6 inch wheelbase and radial mounted brakes with stainless steel braided lines, the Mana delivers surefooted and stable rides, coupled with ample braking power. Starting in 2010 the Mana was updated with the "GT' specification that includes revised bodywork, an adjustable windscreen, and Aprilia's capable Antilock Braking System (ABS). From two up Sport Touring to everyday commuting in nearly all weather conditions, The Aprilia Mana GT remains in a class by itself!.

Showdown: 2022 Aprilia Tuareg 660 Vs. Yamaha Tenere 700

Thu, 25 Aug 2022

Middleweight adventure bikes duke it out on a 2,000 mile tour Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield | Videos by Sean Matic As we motored slaunchways across Utah, the late daylight stretched our shadows and cast golden hues against the tall canyon walls, further accentuating the contrast between the rust colored ancient seabeds peppered with lush green juniper and muted sage. The lavender sky over Bryce faded as we continued westward on Hwy 12. Refusing to pack a second visor for my Shoei Hornet X2, I lifted the dark smoke shield as I led our crew into the dark dense forest, keeping my line of sight just above the Ténéré’s windscreen in an attempt to protect my peepers from the onslaught of kamikaze insects.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. 2010 Aprilia RSV4 Engine Recall

Tue, 02 Feb 2010

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration finally released information about the upcoming Aprilia RSV4 engine recall, and just as we suspected here at Motorcycle.com, the culprit was a faulty batch of connecting rods. Yes, the same conrods that curtailed the RSV4R’s European launch, attended by our correspondent Tor Sagen. That October media event at the world-class Mugello circuit was halted after five, count’em, FIVE engines blew.
