Yamaha xs650 tech info
Yamaha xs650 description
This is my daily rider. Really fun bike. I've put around 2k miles on it since it was customised so all the kinks are ironed out. Ready to be ridden away. The main selling point is the rephased engine. Crank and cam were rephased by Hugh's Handbuilt and professionally installed. I have another set not rephased which you're welcome to make an offer on. Makes the bike a lot smoother. No more rattling teeth. Sits quietly at 80mph so it eats up the highway miles. Also has a Pamco electronic ignition. The 277° Pamco one with all the bells and whistles off of mikesxs. I also have an xs1100 right disc rotor. It's in great condition and new pads. Make me an offer on that too if you want.
New gauges New lines xs750 tank Uni pod filters Rejetted carbs Hydraulic clutch (no shifting problems here) Custom seat Clubman bars (comes with tracker bars too) Bendix repaired (so it starts on the button) Plenty of tread on the tires New battery New rotor and brushes You're welcome to come ride it if I have $5k cash in my hand when you do. I'm in Silver Lake. Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours and have the bike paid for and collected within 4 days of auction end. Please contact me ahead of time if you have less than 10 good reviews or less than 96%. If you don't get in touch I will remove your bids. This is pickup only. If you want it shipped then you arrange everything. I will bring it to you within 100 miles if half the auction amount is already in my account. |

Yamaha Champions Riding School Returns To NJMP
Fri, 24 Jan 2014Good news for those saddened to hear the Yamaha Champions Riding School would not return to Miller Motorsports Park in 2014: the school is back, now operating from New Jersey Motorsports Park. The change in venue doesn’t come without a slight change in the instructor lineup. Nick Ienatsch and Ken Hill will still lead the way, joined by Mr. Daytona himself, Scott Russell, but a new addition to the star-studded instructor lineup has also been added: none other than Larry Pegram.
Air time Kenny Roberts-style
Thu, 25 Nov 2010I can’t get enough of pictures that capture a specific, hard to define moment; the successful encapsulation of the absolute balls-to-the-wall, life or death commitment that riding a motorbike as fast as possible involves. We all know. We’ve all been there – even if it’s only a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Maybe (for us mere mortals) it’s that rapidly, yet unexpectedly, tightening left-hand bend with a shitty, mud-covered veneer just at the apex.
Yamaha Named Official Motorcycle Of Road America
Thu, 02 May 2013The economic downturn hit the motorcycle world particularly hard, as many factory-backed road racing efforts closed shop. The decision, while unfortunate, isn’t hard to understand, as racing at the highest levels isn’t cheap, and a factory involvement means added pressure to succeed, which ultimately means spending more money to do so. Through it all, however, Yamaha has remained involved with the sport, fielding factory teams and sponsoring various riding schools and even racetracks.
