Yamaha YZF tech info

Yamaha YZF description
I'm selling my 2015 Yamaha R6 Raven black edition. The bike is in excellent condition as you can see in the pictures above. I just moved to Madison a few months ago and I just don't have much time to ride anymore because of work.
Mileage: 11k (will stay where it is for now) The bike is pretty much stock except for a few aftermarket parts. Tinted windshield Fender eliminater Flush mount blinkers Ram mount (for cell phones) Also including my Icon Variant helmet ($400 value) with mirrored visor and AGV gloves with carbon knuckles. ALL maintenance has been kept up with this bike consistently. I've only ever ran premium 93 octane gasoline in it and changed oil regularly. (10w-40 full synthetic) Chain is serviced regularly as well. All of the miles were put on from commuting to work and around town. I don't ride wheelies or do any crazy stunts. I work in the motorsports industry and I have much respect for these machines. The buyer is responsible for pick up but I will meet you with the bike if it's not a very far drive. Other than that, the buyer is responsible for shipping. |

Police Catch Up with Motorcycle Doing 185 mph in YouTube Video
Fri, 20 Apr 2012Authorities in British Columbia, Canada, have impounded a 2006 Yamaha R1 believed to have starred in a YouTube video reaching speeds of 299 kph (185 mph) on a freeway. The onboard video, embedded after the jump, captures the Yamaha weaving through traffic, and often lane-splitting between other vehicles, covering a 4.67 mile stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway in about a minute and 56 seconds. That translates to an average speed of 144.6 mph.
Yamalube Motor Oil Video is Educational, British, and Brainwashing
Tue, 16 Jun 2009Yamaha Motor Europe have just posted a new video up on Youtube about their Yamalube motor oil and why you should use it on your Yamaha products. They are pretty damn convincing or very good at brainwashing! The video is pretty educational, explaining how motorcycle engines and car engines are very different, what a motorcycle engine really needs, and why Yamalube is very well suited for the job. Various graphs, charts, shots of scientists making oil, and the accented British narrator have further convinced me that I need to get Yamalube and perhaps even be adding it into my morning bowl of cereal.
An Island tour with a legend
Fri, 17 Sep 2010What you are watching is a highlight of Mike Hailwood's segment from the racing documentary Take it to the Limit - A Motorcycle Odyssey. The Yamaha - built by the extraordinary Kel Carruthers - that Hailwood is riding in the clip featured a unique frame with the camera housed within. The voice-over recording provided by Hailwood was done by taping a small mic to the bottom of his lip so he could dictate his guide to the 37.73 mile route.
