Yamaha YZF-R tech info
Yamaha YZF-R description
2014 Yamaha YZF R1, excellent condition, only 930 miles, I bought this bike new in November 2015, it has been sitting inside my garage most of this time. Awesome bike to ride. The following mods have been done to elevate the ridding experience further:
Motor oil is fresh(was changed at 100, 400, and then at 900 miles) Brake fluid is also fresh. My profession is a Porsche mechanic and of course I am obsessed with mechanical maintenance. Have spare key and owner's manual. Extras included: workshop manual on CD, stock titanium exhaust, stock front & rear turn signals, stock rear sets, stock rear foot pegs. And also include front and rear Pitbull stands(shown in photos)! And Pitbull front lift! And 4 bottles of synthetic motor oil for oil change! DB killer for exhaust and 2 extra seats(these are modified stock seats at 1" height increment, the medium height seat is on the bike). I have been riding sportbikes for a long time, had a lot of different bikes over the years, this R1 is definitely the sum of all I want from a sportsbike with the very specific mods I've done. It is just brilliant to ride. I am selling because I don't enjoy riding as much as I once did. I will use the money from the sale to finish my car project. This bike deserves a more spirited rider than I. Located in Baltimore, Maryland. Clean title in hand. Buyer responsible for vehicle transport. Feel free to call me about the bike. 410-353-7190. |

Last Year’s Surprise Podium Finisher Katsuyuki Nakasuga to Wild Card at Japanese GP
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Katsuyuki Nakasuga, the surprise podium finisher at last year’s MotoGP finale in Valencia, will have the chance to catch lightning in a bottle once again, after being granted a wild card entry to the 2013 Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi. Nakasuga shocked the racing world with a second-place finish at the Valencian Grand Prix last November as an injury replacement for then-Yamaha factory rider Ben Spies. Nakasuga made the cagey decision to run slick tires in the wet race.
Yamaha Reports 2013 Sales Results
Wed, 12 Feb 2014Yamaha reported a 1.2% decrease in motorcycle sales in 2013 but managed to increase its net sales revenue by 16.2%, thanks in large part to the depreciation of the Japanese yen. According to the company’s 2013 fiscal report, Yamaha sold 6,014,000 motorcycles last year, down slightly from 6,090,000 sold in 2012. The good news however, is most of the sales decrease was limited to Thailand and Vietnam where the economy worsened in 2013, while Yamaha’s sales increased in nearly all other markets.
