Yamaha YZF-R description

Up for sale is this beautiful and fun to ride 2014 Yamaha YZF-R1 in Team Yamaha Blue/White colors. I'm the first and only adult owner this bike has seen since I purchased it for nearly 17k back in 2014. Since I've owned the bike I've done a few tasteful modifications to enhance looks and improve overall rideability. I've put nothing but the best available parts on this bike by Graves among other quality manufacturers, no expenses have been spared what-so-ever. The reason I've decided to sell the bike is because I simply can't find the time to ride it as much as it deserves due to hectic work schedules, I'd rather see the bike go to a new home with a good owner who can truly enjoy it instead of just sitting in my garage as decoration.

I will start off by saying that this is not your average Japanese crotch rocket, this is a very powerful liter bike with plenty of torque delivery all throughout the powerband, definitely not meant for beginner or intermediate riders.

About the bike:

This is a true Supersport 1000cc bike in its class, it features alot of Yamaha's MotoGP technology including:
  • Crossplane crankshaft for improved torque (First production crossplane crankshaft open class sportbike)
  • 7-Level adjustable Traction Control System (TCS)
  • Yamaha D-Mode Technology (Offering the rider 3 Different electronic throttle settings for power delivery)

The bike currently has 932 Miles (and counting as i ride it everytime i get a chance)
The 600 Mile service was done back in March for proper break in, at that time I had the oil, oil filter, and air filter changed, along with the install of the Graves exhaust system. I've had absolutely zero issues with this bike since I purchased it, it fires right up every time and as you can tell, I barely finished breaking it in. Only hiccup I had back in November 2015 was catching a nail on my rear tire, which I had replaced for a brand new one.

Upgrades:
  • Graves Motorsports Full Titanium Lowmount Exhaust System
  • K&N Race air filter
  • Precision adjustable front brake and clutch Levers
  • OEM Yamaha GYTR Rear Seat Cowl
  • Watsen Design LED turn signals
  • Zero Gravity Double Bubble tinted Windscreen
  • TechSpec Snake Skin Tank pads
  • Graves Motorsports No-Cut Frame sliders
  • Woodcraft Swingarm sliders and spools
  • LacoMoto Carbon fiber rear undertail exhaust Block-off plugs
  • Competition Werkes Limited Rear Fender Eliminator Kit w/ LED
  • Battery Tender SAE battery connector

Thats well over 2k in upgrades alone, without counting labor and sourcing all the parts. My loss is the lucky buyer's gain. I do have the stock parts that will come with the bike such as rear passenger seat and pegs that could be easily put back on. The bike gets compliments everywhere I go, all the time.

All in all this is truly a great bike in pristine condition with no damage or drops, it has always been meticulously maintained and cared for, as seen on the pictures, what you see is what you get, this bike has been my garage queen since day one and it shows. For any questions or picture requests feel free to reach me at 786.278.699O via text message, I will get back to you as soon as I can.

***PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING***
The Bike is currently listed for sale in other places outside of eBay, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, the winning bidder is responsible for a $1000 non-refundable deposit due 24 hrs after auction's end, and the remaining balance is due within 7 Days after auction end in Cash, Cashier's Check, or Wire Transfer. There is no warranty expressed or implied on this listing, so the bike is being sold "AS IS" "WHERE IS" which means the buyer is responsible for shipping and pickup arrangements of the bike in Miami, FL However I am willing to assist as much as I could for bike pickup.

Thank you for Watching and Goodluck!

Stoner explains the tank slapper

Mon, 03 Oct 2011

Casey Stoner looked all set to win at Motegi, after translating his pole position into an early race-lead. But coming over the crest on the back straight his bike momentarily lost control in a tank slapper. Regaining composure the championship leader was forced to pump his brakes to get the pads back in place, with the rear-wheel bouncing in the air he ran out of time and space to make the 90 degree right hander and was forced to run into the gravel.

Rumor: Yamaha Developing Inline Three Roadster

Wed, 25 Jan 2012

French motorcycle outlet Moto Revue reports Yamaha is developing a new three-cylinder middleweight. Citing an internal Yamaha document, Moto Revue reports the new naked model will feature an inline Triple engine, aluminum perimeter frame, upside-down fork and a triple-pipe exhaust like the MV Agusta F3 and Brutale 675. Yamaha has produced a Triple before, offering the XS750 from 1976-1979 before replacing it with the XS850 in 1980 and 1981 (pictured above is the 1981 Yamaha XS850.) The potential new model is still likely to be years away, so its look is yet to be determined, though Moto Revue does have a rendering that borrows some of the design elements from the FZ8.
