Yamaha YZF-R tech info
Yamaha YZF-R description
Thanks for looking at my beautiful Yamaha YZFR1 sport bike. This thing is stupid fast standing still! Has never been dropped or crashed. An absolute beast. Not your dads Harley. I purchased this motorcycle with 314 miles on it. I have added a few performance modifications, some of the more notable are the FULL titanium Akropovic EVO exhaust system, Marchesini magnesium alloy wheels, Vortex rearsets with brake light switch, Bazzaz ECU, 530 chain/sprocket conversion, Vortex keyless gas cap, ASV front brake and clutch levers, Renthal aftermarket clip on handlebars and renthal road grips plus more! This motorcycle has been such an awesome piece of machinery. It simply goes too fast, if there is such a thing. Located in upstate South Carolina, shipping can be arranged at buyers additional expense. Please contact me with any questions! Thank you!

The World Endurance Championship Starts This Weekend
Wed, 23 Apr 2014Endurance racing is perhaps the ultimate test of both man and machine. In the past, teams would pace themselves in order to rest both elements enough to make a final push at the end. These days, however, motorcycles are more reliable than ever, and riders train like triathletes.
Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?
Tue, 30 Dec 2008A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
