Yamaha YZF-R description

2009 Yamaha R6 Raven for sale by owner. It has just under 5000 miles, has an accident free CLEAR Florida title, and runs great! I paid $400 (just TWO weeks ago) to have a local mechanic install around $800 worth of cosmetic upgrades which are as follows: ASV Black/Gold Levers, DID VXGB Gold Chain, Targa Fender Eliminator, Zero Gravity Double Bubble Smoke Windscreen, Shogun Frame Sliders, Shogun Swingarm Spools, Shogun Bar Ends, Hotbodies Racing Smoke Flushmount LED Turn Signals & Driven Racing Black Grips As you can see these are really all cosmetic upgrades just to enhance the bike's appearance. During this time, I had them do a synthetic blend oil change as well as take the bike for a test drive verifying everything was in perfect working order! The bike runs very strong and has low miles being a 2009. It was always taken care of mechanically and used responsibly, I've owned multiple bikes in the past and don't abuse them like other individuals. This bike gets compliments everywhere it goes and is a great bike for new or veteran riders. Feel free to come look at it you are in the area as it's sort of hard to capture the bike on my iPhone's camera. Please contact me with any questions or to setup a time to see it in person. I'm located in Gainesville, Florida off exit 384 on I-75. *The liquid on the ground is just from water as I had just washed the bike prior to taking pictures. Price- $6800

Ducati continues to develop its Desmosedici GP12 MotoGP race bike, setting modest goals while trying to establish a good setup. Already trailing the other factory teams in development time for its race prototypes, Ducati continued to try to find good base settings for the GP12. Valentino Rossi achieved the team’s goal of lapping under two minutes and two seconds with a time of 2:01.886 while completing 44 laps on the second day of testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit.

Yamaha Files Trademark Application for FJ-09

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Yamaha‘s next three-cylinder motorcycle may be a sport-tourer, if a recently-filed trademark application is any indication. The Tuning Fork brand filed a trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the name “FJ-09” as it applies to “Motorcycles, scooters, three-wheeled scooters and structural parts for all the aforesaid goods.” Following Yamaha’s usual naming conventions, the signs indicate the trademark will be for a new sport-touring model using the same Triple as the FZ-09. Yamaha has made it clear it plans to introduce more three-cylinder engines following the FZ-09 (or MT-09, as it is known in Europe.) Previously-filed trademark applications for the YZF-R3 and R3 names raised speculation the next triple would be a sportbike, but as per Yamaha’s usual naming convention, the “3″ in R3 is likelier to refer to the engine displacement rather than the number of cylinders.
