Yamaha YZF-R description
The photos speak for themselves, pristine condition, not a single scratch anywhere. Yamaha has never been registered and engine has been sealed to prevent any damage these last 10 years it has been waiting for a good collector. If you are interested in the Yamaha R1 50th Anniversary Edition with 0 miles and kept in pristine condition reach me on my cell for text/call to discuss options. 3O5_ 849...6997email is possible too. Yamaha R1 is a Limited Edition model, only 500 of them are made and it has a VERY special number stamped on it...This is the #2 bike out of 500. The #1 has been tucked away in the Yamaha corporate business office in Georgia so you can understand why I mention this bike as being the premium option if you've ever wanted to collect this extremely rare bike. Every time I list this bike I get hundreds of e-mail requests for photos of the #2 stamped on the bike so I will not respond to those requests. This bike is for sale and the buyers will need to arrange a time to see the bike in person or have one of your associates visit the bike for inspection. If you do live somewhere else in America and cannot visit LA in the next few weeks then perhaps we can still arrange something. I will be in LA on the 1st of July for a week and I will personally take this bike to the local Yamaha dealerships to sell it since most have expressed great interest in having this collectible in their displays for the 60th anniversary bikes. So bottom line is that this bike will be sold very soon and I will not be listing it again. But I wanted to give the opportunity to the ebay community for a chance to own this piece of motorcycle history. If you hold this bike for another 10 years it will be a huge investment...but I am retiring overseas. The bike is in storage at the east corner of LA...but obviously I can arrange shipping to anywhere in the continental 48 states if you are the winning bidder. Good luck to all -- James |

Mystic Mac's 2014 MotoGP predictions
Thu, 06 Feb 2014There is no real off season in Moto GP. Although we complain about being starved of racing, for those at the sharp end, in little more than two months they have new bikes to assemble, team staff to put in place and sponsors to nail down that will pay for it all. This time frame is also tight for riders, as it seems more every year go straight under the surgeon’s knife after the last round and spend the short winter recuperating for the season ahead. The 2014 Moto GP championship looks like a cracker as apart from the ten full factory riders we now have at least eight non factory riders with properly competitive machinery. We also have five Brits on the grid, two with podium potential. Whatever happens though (providing you have BT Sport) you can just sit back and enjoy watching the incredible Marc Marquez do things that shouldn’t be possible. Speaking of whom, I didn’t believe a Rossi replacement would come this soon. And when I say replacement, I mean a rider that is the full package. Although in some ways quite different to Vale, he’s an equally phenomenal talent plus a very likeable character that appeals to the masses and although respectful to his rivals off track, deadly competitive in the heat of battle. Being young and good looking he’s obviously a dream for sponsors and the sport in general. Marquez has evolved in his own way but thankfully into a perfect replacement for our sport when the VR steps down.
Lorenzo Signs Two-Year Extension with Yamaha
Thu, 07 Aug 2014Two-time MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo has signed a contract extension with Yamaha to see him race on the company’s factory team through the 2016 season. The signing comes as no real surprise, following similar two-year contract extensions for teammate Valentino Rossi and Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa. Ducati also confirmed it would field Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone next season, so unless Lorenzo wanted to spend a season or two developing Suzuki‘s or Aprilia‘s new prototypes, Lorenzo’s only option for a factory ride was to re-sign with Yamaha.
