Yamaha YZF-R description

!2006 Yamaha R1, garage kept and serviced regularly. A rare bike with lot's of extras!! Graves 3/4 exhaust system, power commander 3, vortex adjustable rear sets, CRG adjustable levers, GPR steering dampner, race frame and swingarm sliders, chain and sprocket kit, stomp grip and custom lighting. The bike actually only has 11k on it, I never put a speedo healer on it when I went down one in the front and up four on the rear. So the mileage is lower then what it shows!! I love this bike and hate to let it go, but it is time. Happy bidding and good luck!

Rumor: Yamaha Developing Inline Three Roadster

Wed, 25 Jan 2012

French motorcycle outlet Moto Revue reports Yamaha is developing a new three-cylinder middleweight. Citing an internal Yamaha document, Moto Revue reports the new naked model will feature an inline Triple engine, aluminum perimeter frame, upside-down fork and a triple-pipe exhaust like the MV Agusta F3 and Brutale 675. Yamaha has produced a Triple before, offering the XS750 from 1976-1979 before replacing it with the XS850 in 1980 and 1981 (pictured above is the 1981 Yamaha XS850.) The potential new model is still likely to be years away, so its look is yet to be determined, though Moto Revue does have a rendering that borrows some of the design elements from the FZ8.

Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.
