2005 Yamaha Yzf-R6 , Clean 2005 Yamaha R6 with low miles. Back tire replaced and only has 500 miles on it. the front tire was replaced 2 years ago and is still in decent shape. The tail light has integrated turn signal and the front blinkers are flush mount. Frame sliders were installed. The bike has never been dropped and has minimal to no scratches. Canadian Speeder’s Yamaha R1 Seen in Now-Famous YouTube Video Sold in Auction
Wed, 22 Aug 2012The Vancouver Sun is reporting on its website today that the Yamaha R1 made famous in a YouTube video featuring the rider speeding along the Trans-Canada Highway was sold recently for $4,651 in an online auction. According to the Sun the auction was conducted by B.C.’s Civil Forfeiture Office, which can seize property believed to have been used for unlawful activity. The winning bidder, 4x4albert, beat more than 70 bids to claim the 2006 R1.
US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
Yamaha R25 250cc Sportbike Prototype Revealed – Video
Wed, 20 Nov 2013After much anticipation, Yamaha has revealed its new R25 250cc sportbike at the 43rd annual Tokyo Motor Show in Japan. The manufacturer has long offered a 125cc model in India, and that’s where word surfaced of an impending 250cc model. We will have to wait a bit longer however, as the R25 at the Tokyo Motor Show is still just a prototype, meaning we should expect to see the production model for 2015.
