Yamaha YZF-R description

2005 Yamaha YZF-R6, ASK FOR TAY FOR INTERNET DISCOUNT - We started out to give the 2005 R6 more horsepower and a new fork, and wound up engineering a nearly new motorcycle. Staying out front in the Supersport wars takes power: New camshafts Bigger throttle bodies Improved fuel injection Revised intake funnels ... and more, result in a smoother, fatter powerband with three more horsepower at 13,000 rpm. To channel that power, a new, fully-adjustable inverted fork with 41mm tubes was added for the most precise handling possible. It was too good a place to resist mounting powerful new 310mm front disc brakes, radial calipers and a radial master cylinder to even further exploit the R6’s amazing front-end feel. The added rigidity of the new fork led to a redesign of the main frame to accommodate new rear suspension linkage. Light weight, razor-sharp handling, unsurpassed overall balance – elevated to the next level. Thats why the R6 was the winner of Motorcycle-USA.coms Supersport Shootout for 2003 and 2004. Anybody up for a track day?

2022 Yamaha XSR900 Review - First Ride

Wed, 25 May 2022

The sportiest Sport Heritage Credit: Photos by Adam Campbell | Videos by Sean Matic Some of us were a bit surprised when Yamaha’s newly overhauled 2021 MT-09 snagged first place in last summer’s 900cc(ish) Naked Bike Comparison, against such more-expensive heavy hitters as the new Ducati Monster and KTM Duke 890. And all of us were a little surprised when the XSR900 defeated Indian FTRs 1200 and 1200S, and the now-defunct Monster 1200S, in an only slightly unfair 2019 comparo. (Slightly unfair because our test route was really nothing but tight, twisty roads.) Now, the 2022 XSR900 is newly overhauled just as last year’s MT-09 was, using all the same parts from the waist down, including the new super-sized 890 cc version of that most excellent CP3 three-cylinder and all its electronic controls.

Recall for 2009-2011 Yamaha V-Max

Fri, 30 Sep 2011

Yamaha is issuing a recall campaign on certain 2009-2011 V-Max power cruisers due to a potential risk of oil pump malfunction. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, abnormally high oil pressure can build up within the oil pump of certain Yamaha V-Max models. The high pressure may force the washer on the oil pump shaft against the oil pump housing, causing oil to stop pumping through the engine.

MotoGP Teams Complete First Sepang Pre-Season Test

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

Preparations for the 2014 MotoGP Championship are well underway, with the first pre-season test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit complete. As the first test of the year, we shouldn’t take too much stock into the results, but they do provide a basis for later comparison. Reigning World Champion Marc Marquez was the fastest rider on all three days of the Sepang test.
