You are looking at used in mint condition 2005 YAMAHA YZF R6 I'm the second owner. Bike was never dropped. Always garaged. Never in rain. Never stunned. It has 14,500 miles and going. I'm still using it to commute. Mechanically doesn't need anything. Recently replaced: - oil change synthetic (every 3,000 miles) - new chain and front, rear sprockets - new front and rear bearings - spark plugs - coolant - tires are year old It has few small, tasteful upgrades: - shorty brake and clutch shifters - usb socket - RAM cell phone holder - red LED under light with on/off switch - PUIG light smoke windshield - integrated brake/turn signal rear LED light - flash mount front LED turn light Both turn lights are with resistors. Lorenzo Signs Two-Year Extension with Yamaha
Thu, 07 Aug 2014Two-time MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo has signed a contract extension with Yamaha to see him race on the company’s factory team through the 2016 season. The signing comes as no real surprise, following similar two-year contract extensions for teammate Valentino Rossi and Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa. Ducati also confirmed it would field Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone next season, so unless Lorenzo wanted to spend a season or two developing Suzuki‘s or Aprilia‘s new prototypes, Lorenzo’s only option for a factory ride was to re-sign with Yamaha.
David Stanton Charity Trackday Raises $75,000
Fri, 22 Nov 2013The generosity of the motorcycling community shone brightly on Monday, as riders, fans, friends and enthusiasts took part in a charity track day at Sonoma Raceway hosted by 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days, raising $75,000. The charity track day was to benefit David Stanton, a Bay Area resident and long-time American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) competitor, who was paralyzed after a racing crash in June. In all, more than 400 people participated in the track day, attended the evening reception or stopped by to give Stanton their best wishes.
AMA Supercross: 2012 Arlington Results
Tue, 21 Feb 2012Defending champion Ryan Villopoto won his third consecutive AMA Supercross race in Arlington, Texas, but the victory was overshadowed by a season-ending injury suffered by one of his main challengers Chad Reed. TwoTwo Motorsport Honda‘s Reed trailed Villopoto in second place for the first six laps at Cowboys Stadium. Disaster struck on Lap 7 however as Reed crashed hard in the whoops.
