2005 Yamaha R6 for sale by owner. Located in Charleston illinois. R6 is Red and black. Approx 30,000 miles. Please contact me for pictures or more information. Bike has been stored inside for winters, and covered during summer. No major damage. Previous owner dropped it from a standstill leaving very minor scratches on foot pegs and handlebars. Runs great, I've never had a problem with it. Brand new battery. Brand new rear tire. Very good condition front tire. Full maintenance history.

Yamaha YZF-R1 Returns for 2013 with New Colors

Beside the three color options, the 2013 Yamaha R1 returns unchanged, after getting a new seven-level traction control system in 2012. The three color options for 2013 are Matte Gray, Rapid Red and Raven, and the Team Yamaha Blue and White.
Yamaha Quitting World Superbike Racing After 2011 Season
Mon, 01 Aug 2011Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.
