The all new engine (no longer used as a stressed member of the chassis) featured a separate top crankcase and cylinder block. The 2004 R1 produces a stated 172 hp (128 kW) at the crankshaft (excluding ram air,180 hp (130 kW) with ram air) and also weighs 172 kilograms (dry). The conventional front brake calipers were replaced by radially-mounted calipers, activated by a radial master cylinder. *Do Not Call*Demo Bike*Demo Account*Do Not Call*Bike Not For Sale*Not a Dealer*

$8,000 Custom ATV up for Grabs at ATV.com
Thu, 02 Jul 2009Our sister site, ATV.com, is ready to give away the Yamaha Raptor ATV they’ve been customizing over the last few weeks. They took a base Yamaha Raptor 250 valued at $4,499.00 and modified it into an $8,000 beast! Why they just don’t keep it in the office to use for coffee runs is beyond me. They’ve slapped on new air filters, mufflers, new alloy wheels, new tires, front bumper and grab bar, skid plates, nerf bars, new grips, new seat cover, new plastics, and more!
Kenny Roberts Motorcycle Collection Up For Sale
Wed, 25 Apr 2012Motorcycling legend Kenny Roberts has commissioned RMD Motors to auction off some rare and exclusive motorcycles from his collection, presumably to make room for more. The Japan-based company is known the world over for its collection of rare and classic motorcycles for sale, many of which are retired grand prix machines fortunate enough to escape the fate of most decommissioned racebikes: the crusher. Headlining the Roberts collection is the 2004 Proton KRV5 originally ridden by Kurtis Roberts, King Kenny’s youngest son. The five-cylinder grand prix machine never achieved much success on the world stage, but will easily make you the center of attention at your local trackday.
