Body work is off a 2000 Yamaha R6. These plastics will fit 1998-2002. The graphics patterns changed between the years. Side Upper fairings (BOTH sides) including directionals, lowers, and front fender (black) Body work was taken off my bike after only 200 miles and hung from rafters in garage. Bike has been sold with race plastics and these now need a new home. Plastics are in prestine condition. Bodywork can be boxed up and shipped if necessary. This can be discussed after final bidding and agreements can be arranged. Winning bidder will be responsible for any shipping and packaging costs that might be incurred. Despres will lead a factory team which includes Michael Metge, Olivier Pain and Frans Verhoeven to South America for the 2014 Dakar Rally which kicks off Jan. 5.

Fri, 20 Jun 2014Pierre Karsmakers, one of the first European motocross champions to bring his expertise to America, has been elected to the AMA Motorcycle Hall Of Fame Class of 2014. A three-time motocross champion in his native Holland, Karsmakers came to the United States to gain wider exposure and attract the attention of the Japanese motorcycle makers. “All the Japanese (sponsorship) contracts were going to Belgian riders,” Karsmakers said.
