2004 Yamaha YZ 85 in very good condition. Needs nothing, runs great. It has new renthal sprockets, chain, TM chain guide, new Dunlop MX51 tires, Cycra hand guards, Pro Circuit silencer and Pro Taper handlebars. The brake pads are 90-95%. The suspension was done by Pro Action, new seals valving etc. The rims had wheel bearings replaced this spring. The motor had top end rebuilt last year, and has not been used much since ( maybe 4 hours run time). This was my son's bike, he has moved up to a 125, but I didnt want to sell this until I knew he was comfortable on the bigger bike. The bike was not raced, but he did like to go to the local tracks when I could get him there. The bike was very well maintained. The plastic is all good, no cracks, just normal wear from riding and a few falls. Matching motor and frame numbers of 5X1-000595, one of the earlier builds. New front tire and tube, new rear tire and tube. New clutch discs and engine oil.. New front sprocket and chain. Rear sprocket was not available, current one in great condition, and was cleaned and powder coated. New seat cover, new OEM style wicked tough graphics. New scott handgrips. Carburator was cleaned with new needle valve installed, new fuel petcock, new gas lines. New fork seals and fork oil. New clutch and brake levers. Runs and drives excellent and looks like new. Plastic all completely sanded down, cleaned and reheated for shine, in great original condition. Every nut and bolt was cleaned and coated, it looks like new. It is a 1979 YZ 250. I have owned this bike for a number of years, and only ridden up and down my driveway a couple of times (Making the video made three times.). I put a new piston and ring in it when I got it, and replaced a lot of parts. It has been sitting in my garage since then. Here is a partial list of the new parts: New Fork Seals, New Fork Wipers, New Front Tire, New Front Fender, New Pro Taper Handlebars, New Front Brake Cable, New Throttle Cable, New Clutch Cable, New Front Brake Lever, New Clutch Lever, New Grips, New Piston and Rings (less than an hour on the new top end), New Front Number Plate, New Side Panels, New Rear Fender, New Rear Tire, New Air Filter, New Wide Footpegs. The frame and cases were painted with automotive urethane based paint (it won’t peel off when gas is spilled on it). Hubs were painted with black enamel. The bike also has an after-market pipe, and a period correct DG silencer. The wheels are in good condition as is the suspension. The graphic on the tank is probably as old as the bike and has more wear and ripples than are evident in the photos. The bike is fast (too fast for me), and ready to race. As with most bikes this age, there is no title--Bill of Sale only. Although I have tried to accurately represent this motorcycle, it is almost 40 years old, and I make no guarantees as to performance or durability.
