Yamaha YZ description
I have my old 96 yamaha yz250 available for sale. I just finished with a tear down to the frame and rebuild in which all the bearings were inspected for wear and either cleaned and lubed or replaced. The Rims were trued up straight hubs inspected and lubed, All the cables were inspected and lubed. The front forks were rebuilt with new seals and fork oil. The rear shock was tested and serviced. . The tires sprockets and chain have lots of life left. The top end of the engine was completely rebuilt. The cylinder was inspected and well within wear tolerance specs. The factory bore cylinder walls were honed and new oem genuine yamaha piston, rings, wrist pin and bearing and gasket kit . The lower end of the engine was pressure tested and crank bearings and rod bearings are within specs. Carb was cleaned. I bought new boysen reeds for it along with the piston kit but never received them. however they did not look to be real bad. So it could maybe need new ones in the future which are $50 for good ones and six bolts to install them. other than that this bike is mechanically in terrific shape. and not bad shape physically as well. Got alot of time and money into this rebuild but I bought a four stroke. And this bike is too big for my girl. Mid to late 90`s Yz 250`s are in my opinion 1 of the best handling bikes ever built. this is a great bike for $1199 interested please call.

50th Anniversary Yamaha Special Edition R1? Yes Please!
Fri, 09 Sep 2011When Yamaha unveiled its 50th anniversary edition red and white livery for its M1 MotoGP machines in May, one question came immediately to mind: when can we get the special edition R1? The red and white design was created to celebrate Yamaha‘s 50th year in Grand Prix racing. Yamaha factory racers Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies debuted the livery at the Assen round in June, which saw the American Spies nab his first a career MotoGP win.
Shawn Higbee Wins On The Brough Superior Taylor Made Racing Moto2
Thu, 01 May 2014In only its second race appearance, the Brough Superior Taylor Made Racing Moto2 bike competed in the WERA F1 and B Superbike events on April 27th at the Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, California, run in conjunction with the first round of the GEICO Superbike Shootout, presented by Yamaha. During the F1 race, rider Shawn Higbee moved up to as high as 2nd place from a 5th row start on the Brough Superior TMRGP2 bike. The TMRGP2′s lightweight all carbon fiber chassis and 600cc Honda powerplant demonstrated impressive cornering speed on the tight infield sections but could not match the top speed of the heavily modified 1000cc F1 bikes on the long straights. On the last lap Higbee was shuffled back to 4th place at the finish line.
2022 Yamaha MT-10 SP Review - First Ride
Fri, 18 Nov 2022The MT-10 steps it up with some help from Öhlins. Credit: Photos by Joseph Agustin | Videos by Ray Gouger, Justin Brayton Let the record show that, despite my best efforts, Yamaha’s MT-10 was not included in either the street or track portions of our mega seven-way open-class naked bike shootouts last year. I fought for its inclusion but was ultimately denied by the Bossman who wrote it off by saying our field was big enough and it wasn’t going to win anyway.
