Yamaha YZ description

For sale is a 2012 Yamaha YZ450F stunt motorcycle that was used on screen in the 2015 movie Point Break. I was told it was one of 3 blue and white bikes used in the filming as well as other productions. This one was used in the long distance shots in the beginning of the movie. It was sold without plastics and the custom graphics that were on them. The plastics are new with the decals placed as close as possible, but not exact, to the originals. The frame has been painted black for use in another production. It has Renthal bars, Works Connection skid plate, Hinson clutch cover, KYB forks and FMF exhaust. The TLD grips are worn and torn. It starts and runs great...very powerful. Only 29 hours on the engine. Comes with a California title in my name, current California "Red Sticker" offroad registration, a copy of the invoice for the rental and purchase of the bike totaling $9500, a copy of the California release of liability between motocross racer Darrin Hoeft (the former owner) and Interpol Pictures LLC, bill of sale, and certificate of authenticity. All taxes and transfer fees not included and buyer will be responsible for pick up or shipping. A release of liability must be filled out at the time of the purchase.

Ben Spies Video Interview on 2012 MotoGP Season [Video]

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Yamaha Factory Racing today posted on its YouTube page a video interview with Ben “Elbowz” Spies, in which Spies discusses the soon to start 2012 season of MotoGP. In his usual calm, cool and under control manner Spies speaks frankly on how he prefers the 1000cc GP machine, saying it suits his style (elbows out!) better than the previous seasons’ 800cc bikes because the extra torque and horsepower of the liter-class bikes are, essentially, better matched to his physical stature. Spies also answers honestly the question of who he thinks he needs to keep an eye in 2012, including his teammate, Jorge Lorenzo.

2024 Yamaha Ténéré 700 First Ride

Wed, 13 Dec 2023

Small updates keep the T7 fresh, but we're still missing out on the European variants Photos by Yamaha/Joseph Agustin Photo Yamaha’s popular Ténéré 700 “T7” adventure bike returns for 2024, and while it would be easy to say it is “largely unchanged” from the 2023 model, there have been some notable changes made in response to feedback from many North American riders. One wish still unrealized: the U.S. dealers won’t be getting the up-spec World Raid and numerous other versions of the T7 the EU enjoys - at least not this year.

1973 Yamaha TZ750 Works Prototype #409-100001 Up For Auction

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

For just $120,000, you too can be the owner of a special piece of motorcycling history. Up for grabs on eBay is the 1973 Yamaha TZ750 that started it all. Claimed by the current owner to be the test mule of none other than Kel Carruthers in 1973, this TZ carries the number #409-100001. Yamaha Works GP rider Sadeo Asami cared for the motorcycle for much of its racing life until it was returned to Yamaha USA where it was destined for the crusher.
