2008 Yamaha Yz on 2040-motos
Yamaha YZ tech info
Yamaha YZ description
This is a very clean YZ250 2-Stroke with very low hours. It has a FMF Turbine Core silencer/USFS approved spark arrestor, full coverage Cycra skid plate, and TM Designs chain guide. It is on the original sprockets with a Renthal o-ring chain, new Twin-air filter, and new rear tire. It also has the stock Excel wheels and Pro-Taper bars, as well as UFO restyled number plates and fenders. The tank, seat, and shrouds are original and in near perfect condition. Oil is fresh and the bike is ready to ride. Trail ridden only, not raced. This bike sat for the last 3 years and I purchased it from the original owner. It is very clear that it has been well cared for and rarely ridden. The fork seals and all fluids were flushed and replaced and the carb was cleaned. It starts and runs through the gears like a new bike. A small amount oil (yz spooge/unburnt premix) leaked out of the power valve rubber seal when it was started out of storage, so the power valve shaft o-ring seal may need to be replaced when the top-end eventually gets done (normally replaced w/top-ends), but that could also be from sitting for so long and may be fine. The original owner estimated ~30 hours on the bike. The bike is extremely clean all around and is ready to ride. Clean title in hand. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping. LOW starting price with NO RESERVE!

Zero-mile, still crated Yamaha RZ500N for sale
Fri, 31 Jan 2014This brand new, unregistered, never-even-been-fired-up Yamaha RZ500N has been revealed in the warehouse of a motorcycle dealer in Australia. We know it was the RD500LC but over in Australia (and Canada) it was called the RZ500N. It comes exactly as it arrived from Japan, with two keys, the service manual, mirrors etc.
Charges Laid Against Suspect for 185 mph Yamaha R1 YouTube Video
Fri, 13 Jul 2012Remember that video on YouTube about the rider going 185 mph on a highway in Canada? The video went viral and eventually led to the seizure of a Yamaha R1 and $1,449 (Canadian) in traffic tickets issued to its owner. In April, police in Saanich, British Columbia believed they had enough evidence to seize the R1 and issued tickets to the registered owner for speeding, operating without due care and attention, and operating without insurance.
Richard's '88 Tenere resto project
Tue, 18 Jan 2011There’s a lot of it about at this time of year, brought on, no doubt, by excessive exposure over the Festive Season to the temptations of eBay. Buying old nails with a view to restoration, that is. Wilfing away over the New Year, I spotted for sale a bike that, when new, I really fancied.
