I have for sale my 2000 Yamaha YZ 125. It is a great bike for being a 2000 it starts within a 2 kicks every time in the summer it only takes one. It has lots of aftermarket parts such as: Pro-Circuit Full Exhaust System, KYB Forks, Renthal Handle bars, Excel Rims, Racing Seat, Scott Deuce Grips, Newer Rear Fender, Millville Tires with about 60% left on them. I also had the carb gone through about 6 mnths ago ($300) and had top end rebuilt only has maybe ten hours on it. I don't get to ride it enough so that's why I'm selling it otherwise I wouldn't. I love this bike but I just cant keep it. There are some scuffs on the left side of the bike nothing too major but they are there. I will send more images upon request. Thanks for looking! Isle of Man TT 2012: Sidecar TT Race 1 Results
Mon, 04 Jun 2012Dave Molyneux won his 15th career Isle of Man TT race with a victory in the first Sure Sidecar TT race of the 2012 festival. The win comes in Molyneux’s return to the Isle of Man TT after sitting out last year’s competition. By far the most successful Sidecar racer in TT history Molyneux is third overall among riders in any class, behind Joey Dunlop (26) and John McGuinness (18).
OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes
Sat, 01 Nov 2008KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba
Fri, 24 Jun 2011This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
