1989 Yamaha Yz490 , This YZ490 has about 10 total hours on it. It is all most show room condition. Everything is original except for grips, tires (stock tires had dry rot), and rear sprocket (Original owner changed it?) I am the second owner, however the original owner rode it on his farm and put about 8 hours. He told me that it scared him so he put it in his garage and that's where it sat for 17 years. I bought it for my collection and rode it 3 times. I have had a few people say it is the cleanest stock vintage bike they have ever seen. I also have a like new DG pipe for it (No Dings). Now there are 2 flaws on the bike, which are a front rim ding and the shock linkage bushing has a little play in it. Neither one of them hurts the mechanical operation of the bike. I never fixed the bushing because I never rode the bike much. I have a few extra's that I picked up here and there through the yeas that go with the bike. (Used Plastic, seat, gas tank and a dinged stock pipe) I am open to possible bike trade, but no junk please. call or text 386-937-5856 More pictures on request. Glen Richards back with Embassy Racing

A nasty tumble in at the Brands Hatch opener lead to four DNFs, but once back on track he pushed the dominant BMWs hard, finishing on the podium eight times. While many were trading their grannies to fund new S1000RRs, Richards kept the faith and rode the wheels off his Padgett’s Honda Fireblade.

Ben Spies Video Interview on 2012 MotoGP Season [Video]
Thu, 22 Mar 2012Yamaha Factory Racing today posted on its YouTube page a video interview with Ben “Elbowz” Spies, in which Spies discusses the soon to start 2012 season of MotoGP. In his usual calm, cool and under control manner Spies speaks frankly on how he prefers the 1000cc GP machine, saying it suits his style (elbows out!) better than the previous seasons’ 800cc bikes because the extra torque and horsepower of the liter-class bikes are, essentially, better matched to his physical stature. Spies also answers honestly the question of who he thinks he needs to keep an eye in 2012, including his teammate, Jorge Lorenzo.
