Up for auction is a 1982 yz 125 in great condition. Runs and rides great, fresh rebuild with next bore size piston, seat has been stitched in one spot as shown in pic as well as a rub mark by the right side number plate also pictured. Front rim has some weird pitting as pictured. Tires are good, chain and sprockets are decent, all brakes work. Bike is ready for some vintage racing or someone's collection. Tue, 23 Apr 2013The morning after riding his Yamaha M1 to a sixth-place finish at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, nine-time Grand Prix World Champion Valentino Rossi landed in Charlotte, N.C., to race around another track; only this time there were no right turns. (UPDATED with additional photos.) Rossi met up with NASCAR racer and fellow Monster Energy-sponsored athlete Kyle Busch to ride Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Busch, winner of the last three Nationwide Series races, gave Rossi a walkaround of his car before taking the Yamaha factory rider around a few laps of the Charlotte Motor Speedway 1.5-mile oval.

Mon, 20 Jun 2022FIM approves track-only YZF1000W model A recently updated list of FIM-approved competition vehicles indicates that a new track-only Yamaha YZF-R1 is on the way for the 2023 model year. And if this is true, then we may also expect a significantly updated street legal 2023 R1 too. The International Motorcycling Federation maintains a spreadsheet titled “FIM Recognized Competition Vehicles” that includes approved racing-only models.
